Nelson Foltz lives in NYC and has worked with such artists as Barry White, Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, Spoon, Roberta Flack, The Colorado Symphony, Josh Ritter, Tony Bennett, Juliette Commagere, Dave Liebman, Rebecca Martin, Joachim Cooder, Gerry Leonard and Maria Schneider.

Foltz's original recordings are regularly featured on NPR and PRI and his seventh album entitled "departure" with longtime collaborator Tom Lynn was listed as “Top 10 Tracks of 2014” by legendary music critic Milo Miles (Rolling Stone/NPR/New York Times/Spin/Village Voice).
